Though I was not favoring either side, I did consider Chelsea to be the underdog of this match. The absence of John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic, combined with the home field advantage of Vayern Munich I thought would result in a decisive victory for the local German club.

I lost count of the number opportunities squandered by Bayern. It is no wonder that many Bayern players refused to take their turn during the penalty shoot out due to a lack of confidence.
