There are thousands of design details that go into creating a Porsche. Each builds upon the rest, creating the car’s essence. How might those details translate into the design of something totally different? Could you take the curve of a tail light or the stitching on a seat or the typeface on a speedometer to create a brand new thing that embodies what Porsche is, but in an entirely new outlet?

Porsche and Co.Design are asking you to tackle the challenge. We’re hoping you’ll wow us with your intelligence, passion, and vision, whether what you design turns out to be a micro home or a round-the-world travel kit–so we’re leaving the particulars up to you. But your design should follow three simple guidelines:

Your design has to be smaller than a living room but no smaller than a wallet.
It can’t be a car.
It must have three design details that echo three other details from a Porsche design. These might be taken from the exterior or the interior of the car; they can be taken from Porsches of any era.

Here’s How the Challenge Works:

Designers have until April 6th to submit a rendering of a design using the entry form below. In addition, a description detailing what was imagined and how Porsche design influenced it is also required.

Shortly following, the Top 25 designs will be revealed on Co.Design.

In the next phase, the judges will narrow down the pool to the Top Seven designs. Those seven designers will then be asked to revise their original rendering to refine their concept even further. Include more detail, more thought and more creativity.

The revised designs will be posted to Co.Design and the real voting begins. Friends, family and admirers can come to the site and choose a favorite entry. At the same time, the judges will be discussing the submissions behind the scenes to pick a grand prize winner.

On May 21st, the winner is revealed!

We got a draw in that game and after playing well I got a chance to make my second start against Ghana. So there I was, starting two of three games in the World Cup when I didn’t think I was going to feature after I didn’t even see the field in the first match. Being able to score a goal against Ghana was the ultimate dream for me. It’s my favorite goal and my favorite memory in my football career. Being in a World Cup and scoring a goal, that’s when I knew I had arrived, that I had made it. That’s when I knew anything was possible. In my mind, that was a dream come true and I knew I could die a happy man because everything after that would be icing on the cake.
